This Saturday, December 21, is the Winter Solstice, when the Sun shines directly over the Tropic of Capricorn. This event marks the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of summer for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere!

For RC pilots, this means that after the solstice, the daylight hours will gradually increase, giving us more time to indulge in our favorite hobby. So, if you’re working on a winter project, now’s the time to accelerate—spring and longer flying days are just around the corner!
